What is Silica Glass?

Silica Glass is a generic term used to describe both fused quartz (made by melting natural quartz crystals) and silica glass (created through a chemical process).

Both forms provide an exceptional range of properties including:

• Very low expansion coefficient

• Broad transparency range from deep ultraviolet to near infrared

• High corrosion resistance

• High temperature capability
